About the Role

Run release gates for boards, box assembly, and vehicle upfitting; no unit ships without passing your checks
Execute incoming, in-process, and final inspection against defined standards
Track quality metrics (FPY, defect rate, rework hours) and report weekly
Drive root-cause analysis on failures (8D, 5-Why) and verify corrective actions stick
Manage quality issues with suppliers and CMs: containment, rejections, SCARs
Maintain quality documentation: checklists, control plans, inspection records, traceability
Train technicians on workmanship standards and inspection criteria

5+ years in quality roles for complex hardware: automotive, AV, EV, aerospace, robotics, or similar
Hands-on inspection and floor experience; comfortable in a production environment, not just audits and slides
Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, GD&T basics, and standard RCA tools
Experience working with contract manufacturers and holding suppliers accountable
Startup-ready: builds the process while running it, no existing playbook required

This role is based in our San Francisco office. Atoms is a company driven by invention and continuous change - we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. We do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.

The base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 per year.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package. You may also be eligible for equity awards.
