The Department of Social Work Education Title IV-E Child Welfare Education Program is seeking Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) applicants.

ISA will assist with grading, tutoring, mentoring, course content development, and providing classroom support for Social Work 278.

The department reserves the right to choose the most qualified candidate for each position and to assign an Instructional Student Assistant to the courses that are appropriate for the department program and curriculum in any given semester. Due to staff and curriculum changes, courses offered may vary, and no guarantee of employment from semester to semester can be made.

  • Admission to a Master's program as of Fall 2026, or is currently in a Doctoral degree program at California State University, Fresno, and is in good academic standing 
  • Enrollment in at least 6 units for the semester (or as required to maintain eligible student assistant status) 
  • Demonstrated satisfactory progress toward degree completion 
  • Ability to relate well with others within the academic environment, with the ability or potential to assist with instruction and support of students 
  • Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds 
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
