Under general supervision of the Director of College Advising (DCA), the Coordinator of EOP and College Advising Services:
- Provides comprehensive academic advisement for all students assigned to College of Arts, Media, and Communication (CAMC) Student Services Center/Educational Opportunity Program (SSC/EOP).
- Coordinates activities related to monitoring EOP student transition and academic progress including, but not limited to, follow-up with students and responses to faculty alerts.
- Assists the DCA and Student Services Professional IV (SSP IV) with the coordination, planning, and implementation of first year advisement for all incoming first-time freshmen and transfers.
- Represents the SSC/EOP satellite and CAMC at on and off-campus events, recruitment activities, and on university committees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
~1 min read- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field.
- Upper division or graduate course work in counseling techniques interviewing and conflict resolution where such are job related, is preferred.
- Equivalent of three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience; including one year in Student Services preferred.
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field may be substituted for one year of experience.
- Additional specialized and relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- Knowledge of academic advisement practices and student development principles.
- Ability to analyze student records and recommend appropriate academic actions.
- Skill in developing student success plans and intervention strategies.
- Ability to coordinate programs and manage multiple advising initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse student populations.
- Ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures.
