The Senior Coordinator, Faculty Affairs is responsible for providing primary administrative support to the Associate Vice President for Faculty Affairs (AVPFA) while providing coordination to administrative support for Faculty Affairs. Working independently the incumbent provides professional work to support a variety of confidential tasks of the AVPFA. This work may include, for example, scheduling and minute taking at confidential meetings, editing and distributing confidential documents on behalf of the AVPFA, supporting the AVPFA in researching and preparing discovery, as well as, reviewing and editing unit process documents. The incumbent is tasked with prioritizing and monitoring timelines (including monitoring strategic goals, annual calendar of events, and producing annual reports) across the Faculty Affairs Unit, organizing and tracking staff position description updates for AVPFA direct reports, and has the primary responsibility of tracking compliance regarding AVP and FA unit deadlines and deliverables.
This position also provides strategic program support involving a variety of employee and labor relations functions within Academic Affairs. This role grants the incumbent access to management's strategies and positions on collective bargaining negotiations at CSU Long Beach.
Responsibilities

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience required.
• A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. At least 2 years of experience working in a CSU college or department office preferred.
