Temporary Instructional Support Technician, College of Science and Mathematics

The primary function of the Instructional Support Technician II is to provide comprehensive instructional support services to faculty in the teaching of chemistry and biochemistry classes. The IST II operates under the lead direction of the IST III and under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean. Major responsibilities include: (1) preparation of chemicals, minor equipment, and course materials for classes, (2) inventory of chemicals, solvents and supplies, (3) repair of minor equipment, (4) safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals, and (5) lead direction of student assistants.

This is a full-time, temporary, non-exempt position ending on or before April 30, 2027 Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date.
