\r\n\r\n\r\nThe State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) Bureau of Information Technology Solutions (BITS) is seeking to a Lead Salesforce Developer (Information Technology Analyst 3) to oversee the maintenance and operations of Salesforce (Gov Cloud Plus) efforts for the Department of Social Services (DSS) (Micro Apps Team).�\r\n\r\n\r\nWhat We Can Offer You\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Visit our�State Employee Benefits Overview�page!\r\n Professional growth and development opportunities.\r\n A healthy�work/life balance�to all employees.\r\n\r\n\r\nPosition Highlights\r\n\r\n\r\n Monday - Friday.\r\n First Shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.\r\n Full-time, 40 hours per week.\r\n Location: Hartford.\r\n Hybrid (combination of on-site and remote work).\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Role\r\nThe Salesforce Developers will support the maintenance and operations of a newly implemented Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system that uses Salesforce and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Connect.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Lead Salesforce Developer can be expected to:\r\n\r\n\r\n Translate business requirements into solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and various integrations.\r\n Act as the go-to Salesforce expert – providing Salesforce technical advice, design direction, and leadership to all team members to advance the project.\r\n Design solutions that leverage Salesforce best practices and introduce new technologies when necessary.\r\n Design, build, and optimize dashboards, reports, and visualizations including heat maps, geographic maps, drill downs, and drill throughs to support IVR and contact center efforts.\r\n Analyze AWS Connect, Salesforce, data streams to develop reliable analytical datasets and ensure reporting accuracy across systems.\r\n Troubleshoot, design and modify Salesforce integrations to a contact center system.\r\n Develop end-to-end Salesforce solutions including custom platform development using Advanced Programming Experience (APEX), Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, external data integrations, and middleware tools such as Mulesoft, and Salesforce APIs (Application Programming Interface).\r\n Automate business processes using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flow, Assignment Rules, and email Alerts.\r\n Assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources and schedule development.\r\n Participate in peer code reviews and unit testing.\r\n Mentor and guide staff; Conduct performance appraisals.\r\n Provides application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects, and providing root cause analysis for defects. In a state agency Information Technology (IT) environment this class is accountable for performing the most complex and technical support work and/or acting as a working supervisor of Information Technology Analysts engaged in information systems development or technical support.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Seven (7) years of experience in information technology (IT) operations, programming, systems/software development or another IT-related field.\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE

\r\nOne (1) year of the General Experience must have been at the full professional working level with responsibility for performing a full range of complex technical support functions in such areas as: assisting in the design, implementation and management of a major communications network; providing technical and administrative support for a wide area network (WAN) or mini-computer system; assisting in the installation and maintenance of major sub-systems or installing and maintaining other host and/or network software; participating in the design and development of system applications; serving as a project coordinator responsible for coordinating the design, development, programming and implementation of moderately complex information systems projects; performing any closely related complex technical support function.\r\n\r\n\r\nNOTE: For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of an Information Technology Analyst 2.\r\n\r\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED

\r\n\r\n\r\n College training in management information systems, computer science or information technology related area may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.\r\n A Master's degree in management information systems, computer science or electrical engineering may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.\r\n\r\n\r\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

\r\n\r\n Experience with Salesforce declarative development, including Process Builder, Workflow Rules, and the Lightning App Builder.\r\n Experience with Salesforce programming using Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Apex, Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL), and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL).\r\n Experience with MuleSoft, Salesforce architecture, application programming interfaces (APIs), security configuration, sharing rules, and user management.�\r\n Experience with Agile software development integration methods such as Representational State Transfer (REST) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) APIs, OAuth authentication, Single Sign‑On (SSO), and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) deployment processes.\r\n\r\n\r\n
