2026 Temporary Summer Health Center Qualified Medication Assistant

Dates of Commitment: June 14 through August 2. Dates listed are approximate.   The Qualified Medication Aide is responsible for assisting the Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurses with the administration of prescribed oral medications.   RESPONSIBILITIES:  Intake of prescription medication/enter dispensing instructions and count correctly in EMR. Dispense medications to campers at designated times per prescriber’s order using the 5 rights of medication administration. Chart medication administration accurately in EMR. Assist co-workers with dispensing center duties as assigned. Follows state guidelines on Universal Waste and Safety Precautions (OSHA) Communicate with parent/guardians regarding refills   REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and licensed as a QMA in the State of Indiana.  Current CPR certification
