Assistant Water Scientist Who We Are The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) works to protect the state’s environment and heritage.
To be successful in the role, you will have knowledge and experience in undertaking water science research activities in rivers. You will have a genuine interest in improving water quality, and the health of water dependent ecosystems, while relating the science to water management decision-making.
You will have experience in project management, prioritising tasks, safe fieldwork, and undertaking accurate analysis of large and diverse data sets within tight timeframes. You will also possess a sound understanding of technology, and spatial and/or data management skills will be highly regarded.
Requirements
~1 min read- Degree in hydrological or aquatic science, appropriate applied science, or other relevant discipline
- Valid driver’s licence and the ability and willingness to travel
