- Salary relative to experience starting from $116,981 to 129,491 + super and leave loading
We are looking for a Business Advisor to join our Business Advisory team at the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, providing expert financial advice, reporting and analysis that supports business performance and strategic decision-making.
About the Role
~1 min readYou are a curious and motivated finance professional with a positive mindset and a willingness to learn. You enjoy working collaboratively, building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple business areas and balancing competing deadlines and priorities.
- Experience identifying and delivering finance-related initiatives in partnership with stakeholders to improve business performance and support organisational objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and provide practical and effective solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using financial systems such as SAP. Experience with MWZ, PRIME, CM9 and CM10 will be highly regarded.
Requirements
~1 min read- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
