About the Role

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a small team, creating a collaborative and accountable culture that delivers results.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence outcomes and navigate challenging conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Experience managing land, property, natural resource, environmental or asset management programs within a complex operational environment.
  • Well-developed project management skills, including coordinating multiple sites, managing competing priorities, monitoring progress and delivering outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures to support sound decision-making and effective risk management.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance departmental objectives, customer needs and stakeholder expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial and operational targets, allocate resources effectively and drive continuous improvement.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services and building positive community and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills and resilience, with the ability to lead a team in a high-volume environment while managing complex commercial, environmental and operational issues.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in natural resources, planning, environmental science, land management or other relevant field and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience in the industry.
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
