  • Temporary fulltime role at 35 hours per week plus FlexTime
  • Sydney CBD or Mudgee office location
  • Regular monthly travel required to the Central West Orana Region (if Sydney based) or to Sydney CBD office (if Mudgee based)
  • Hybrid working arrangements, combining regular office attendance (3-4 days per week) with remote working.
  • Salary range from $154,231 to $178,369 plus super and annual leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join Energy Corporation of NSW in the Central West Orana (CWO) Project Delivery team. The Project team is currently seeking a Manager, Program Delivery to support the implementation of Third Party Agreements (TPA), working closely with the Network Operator and TPA stakeholders. The CWO team has several TPA’s with major mining corporations and local councils, which each present their own unique complexities and challenges. Based in the Sydney CBD, with flexibility for the right candidate to be based in Mudgee (regular travel to Sydney required), you will take ownership over the planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery of EnergyCo’s obligations of the Third Party Agreements. You will support the Associate Director, Delivery with managing and resolving complex technical, construction and commercial issues and risks. You will provide strategic advice, manage resources, build strong relationships and ensure EnergyCo’s TPA contractual obligations are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to project delivery milestones. This role offers the chance to contribute to projects of significant importance to New South Wales' energy future while working in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

About You
You are a strategic and pragmatic professional with experience in the delivery of complex infrastructure, construction or major capital projects (ideally $500m + CAPEX value) across government or industry. You have a strong understanding of the challenges associated with delivering projects in complicated stakeholder environments and are skilled at balancing commercial, technical, delivery and Network Operator’s interests to achieve successful project outcomes.

You have previously worked with/ on a State Significant Project or similar in transmission, roads or mining and have familiarity with WHS practices and applicable legislation to large scale construction. You have a strong ability to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders, understand their competing priorities and build trusted relationships by developing practical, outcomes-focused solutions. You have a background or exposure to sectors such as energy, construction, mining, roads, or other major infrastructure environments, and have transitioned into, or are ready for a leadership role where you focus on project governance, strategic decision-making and driving successful project outcomes.

Exposure to Third Party Agreements, delivery contracts, utility interfaces, landholder agreements or other commercial arrangements would be highly regarded. You are confident managing multiple priorities, working with multidisciplinary teams and providing high-quality advice to senior stakeholders.  A current Australian driver's licence (Class C), familiarity with regional driving and a willingness to travel regularly, particularly between Mudgee and Sydney if required, will be highly regarded.

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy.  EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
