Senior Intelligence, Systems and Reporting Officer

• An exciting opportunity exists within the NSW Planning Compliance Team
• Temporary (Up to June 2029) full-time (35 hours per week) opportunity,
• Office location based in Maitland or negotiable across any DPHI office in NSW (with flexible working supported)
• Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $142,695 to $152,731 + super

• Demonstrated knowledge of environmental and/or planning legislation, regulatory frameworks and compliance processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to source, collate, interpret and analyse complex data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Experience preparing high-quality reports, briefings, business intelligence products and evidence-based recommendations to inform decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to work with systems, databases and reporting tools to maintain data quality, improve business processes and support operational performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise and audience-appropriate advice.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple tasks and deliver quality outcomes in a high-volume environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, business units and government agencies to achieve shared outcomes.
• A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with a commitment to sharing information, improving services and supporting evidence-based decision-making.
• Demonstrated resilience, sound judgement and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while working within legislative, policy and governance frameworks.
• Strong project coordination and planning skills, including the ability to identify interdependencies, drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the delivery of strategic programs and operational priorities.

• Tertiary degree in law, planning, environmental management, engineering or other relevant discipline
• Willingness to travel and (minimum) Class C Driver’s Licence
