~1 min readOur Water for the Environment team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Programs Officer, Environmental Water to provide expert advice and program support that contributes to the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of environmental water initiatives across NSW. This role offers an opportunity to work on strategic projects that help protect and restore river and wetland ecosystems while supporting sustainable water management outcomes.
As a Senior Programs Officer, you will contribute to the development of strategies, frameworks, plans and guidelines, support evidence-based decision making through data analysis and reporting, and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver program outcomes. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help drive effective governance, program management and stakeholder engagement activities that support the successful delivery of the Water for the Environment program.
- Demonstrated experience in program, project or policy delivery, with the ability to manage priorities and contribute to strategic outcomes in a complex environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience collecting, interpreting and presenting data to support evidence-based decision making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships across government, industry, community and environmental sectors.
- Experience preparing high-quality briefings, reports, plans and advice, with a strong focus on governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
- A collaborative and proactive professional with an interest in environmental water management and a passion for delivering positive environmental outcomes across NSW.
Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience.
