  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464.00 to $142,665.00 + super (Clerk Grade 9/10)

The Bays West Delivery Authority is charged with creating Sydney’s newest precinct, , within 2km of the Sydney CBD.  A thriving, connected, sustainable hub with White Bay Power Station as its cultural heart and well connected by the new Metro West line. Its vision is to build on the area’s natural cultural and industrial history to shape a vibrant neighbourhood combining new housing with public open space and opening access to the waterfront for the first time in more than 100 years.

 

The Senior Utilities and Delivery Lead plays a critical part in ensuring the essential services and infrastructure behind the Bays West vision are delivered successfully and sustainably. You’ll support and manage the delivery of complex utilities and infrastructure projects across the full development lifecycle – from early planning through to construction. Working with government, industry and community stakeholders, you’ll help coordinate critical inputs, manage procurement and contracts, and ensure outcomes are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards.

 

This role suits someone who can understand both detail and the bigger picture, balance governance, risk and commercial outcomes and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. Your expertise will help translate complex infrastructure requirements into delivery that enables thriving, connected communities.

Responsibilities

  • Strong project leadership that brings clarity, direction and momentum to complex delivery environments
  • Commercial insight paired with a commitment to achieving value for money and sustainable long-term outcomes
  • The ability to balance detail and big-picture thinking, ensuring projects are both technically sound and purpose-driven
  • Confidence building trusted relationships and influencing outcomes across government and industry
  • A proactive mindset that anticipates risks, solves problems early and keeps projects progressing
  • A commitment to delivering work that enables thriving, liveable communities for the future
  • Commercial expertise using a collaborative (interest-based) approach when negotiating successful program outcomes.
  • Proven track record in adhering to internal controls and governance used to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Experience in project management and delivery of large scale construction, residential development and utilities projects

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in property, engineering, construction, project management or relevant field and/or equivalent professional experience.
