WPF Duratec is expanding its operations and are looking for experienced Welders, Boilermakers & Pipefitters to join our local Naval Base workshop.

Light, medium, and heavy structural fabrication

Read and follow fabrications drawings, including angular joints, TKY joints, and calculating dimensions from work points

Precise fabrication of bespoke structural items to strict tolerances

Ability to pre-set and straighten workpieces as required

Skilled in interpreting complex piping isometrics, flange tables with inclinations and offsets, angles and rolling compound joints/offsets

Experienced with site fitting practices, ensuring spools fit correctly from start to finish and weld prep/alignment is within acceptable tolerances

Install and align piping packages, including - spools, flanges, valves and supports

WPF Duratec has various scopes with different welding requirements, applicants are encouraged to apply even if they specialise in only a few processes

Extensive experience with various welding processes, including GTAW, STT/FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW

Proficient with Carbon Steel, Stainless Steels (316, DSS, SDSS), Chromoly, Copper-Nickel & Inconel

Experienced with structural welding practices and methodology, full penetration butt welds and multi-pass fillets etc.

Liaise with QA/QC and ensure work is conducted to the highest standard

Team player – work effectively in a positive and cooperative team environment

Safety is crucial – be pro-active in maintaining a safe work environment including housekeeping activities

Professional attitude, take pride in own work

Current Driver's License
