Help deliver the day-to-day operations and drive the onsite mechanical effort on structural integrity projects

Along with planning and coordination of works, equipment and personnel, duties include:

  • Day-to-day site supervision and management of your team
  • Ensure site productivity aligns with project timelines
  • Lead the team on productive safe work behaviour
  • Set up and pack up of site, including contributing to pre-start and toolbox meetings
  • Co-ordination of employees and subcontractors
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects run to schedule
  • Completion of QA and HSE paperwork

The Duratec-Ertech Joint Venture (DEJV) is a specialist Defence infrastructure delivery partnership with a strong track record in delivering major infrastructure works at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia’s premier naval base. Building on this experience, DEJV has been engaged to deliver several significant infrastructure projects supporting AUKUS, representing a once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity to contribute to Australia’s future Defence capability.

This position is part of the joint venture, and applicants will be considered for opportunities across both partners.

Requirements

  • Mechanical/Fabrication trade Certificate and/or construction qualifications
  • White card
  • Drivers License
  • Australian Citizenship (requirement for Defence projects)
  • Prior experience in the construction and remediation industry, preferrable on structural integrity projects
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in relevant industry.
  • Positive conflict resolution, communications and influencing skills
  • Sound reporting writing skills with the ability to write comprehensive reports
  • Extensive project delivery skills, including budgeting, coordinating work priorities and subcontractor management
  • Understanding of established safety policies and guidelines
