At Customs Support, hundreds of colleagues rely on stable and secure IT systems every day. From Microsoft 365 and workplace technology to hardware, networks, and business applications, you ensure everything runs smoothly.
As our IT Support & Systems Administrator, you are the first point of contact for IT-related questions and issues. But this role goes beyond support. You will help manage our workplace environment, collaborate with external IT partners, support users across multiple locations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT landscape.
By doing so, you enable our customs specialists to focus on what they do best: facilitating international trade.
What will you do?
No two days are the same. One day you may be troubleshooting complex Microsoft 365 issues, while the next you are deploying new hardware, supporting users, or working with vendors to improve our IT infrastructure.
Manage and prioritise helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely and high-quality resolution
Provide technical support for hardware, software, workplace and network-related issues
Deliver end-user training and guidance to improve digital skills and self-sufficiency
Install, configure and maintain laptops, workstations and peripheral devices across locations in Belgium and the Netherlands
Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Intune
Manage user accounts, licenses, device enrolment and access rights
Perform routine updates, patch management, backups and system health checks
Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures and user guides
Safeguard data security, confidentiality and compliance with company policies
Support endpoint security, device compliance and access management
Promote security awareness and best practices across the organisation
Ensure adherence to IT policies and standards
Collaborate with external IT and software vendors
Identify opportunities to improve IT services, systems and processes
Provide recommendations on emerging technologies and innovations that support business growth
Who are you?
You enjoy solving problems, taking ownership, and ensuring technology enables people to perform at their best. You work independently when needed, while also being a collaborative and supportive team member.
You bring:
· At least 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or workplace management
· Knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server environments
· Experience with Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune
· A structured, customer-focused approach to your work
· Good communication skills in Dutch and English
Nice to have:
· Experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is a pre
· Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) is a pre
· Knowledge of IT security and endpoint management is a pre
· Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation is a pre
· A structured, customer-focused approach to your work
· Good communication skills in Dutch and English
