Street Smart is Cyclomedia’s flagship, customer-facing web application that enables professional users to turn high‑accuracy street‑level imagery and extracted assets into actionable spatial understanding. The product is built around fast, reliable visualization and measurement workflows, delivered through a modern web interface. Core design principles are simplicity, speed, and trust.

Street Smart is used in professional contexts where users frequently switch between map exploration, image inspection, and measurement. The experience is designed to keep map context and imagery context tightly synchronized and to support rapid, repeatable workflows at scale.

About the Role

~1 min read

As Senior UX Designer for Street Smart, you own significant UX domains within a complex, geospatial, professional-grade application used by government and enterprise customers. You work embedded in a cross-functional product team and lead UX from discovery through delivery, not just screen design.

AI is a core expectation in this role. You are expected to fully embrace AI in your own daily work to accelerate research synthesis, ideation, design exploration, critique, documentation, and iteration. AI is not optional experimentation; it is part of how you operate and continuously improve your design practice.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Design and improve map-to-imagery navigation and orientation so users stay spatially grounded

  • Build efficient high-frequency review workflows (e.g., corridor and playlist-based review)

  • Create precise measurement and annotation experiences within imagery context

  • Own and drive end-to-end UX across major product areas

  • Translate complex spatial workflows into intuitive, fast, and trustworthy experiences

  • Identify and reduce UX debt to improve product consistency

  • Plan and run user research and integrate insights into design decisions

  • Partner early with Product and Engineering for discovery and validation

  • Use data (qualitative & quantitative) to prioritize and measure UX impact

  • Deliver high-quality flows, prototypes, and UI designs in collaboration with Engineering

  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate design, exploration, and documentation

  • Design AI-assisted experiences that are transparent, controllable, and trustworthy

  • This role is intended for a senior designer, not a mid-level role and not a people-management position.

  • You bring 7–10 years of experience designing complex web applications for professional users, such as enterprise, B2B, or data-heavy tools.

  • You have strong skills in interaction design and information architecture and are comfortable simplifying complex systems into fast workflows.

  • You have a solid research practice and can independently plan, run, and apply user research.

  • Experience with mapping interfaces, spatial data, imagery viewers, measurement tools, data visualization, or GIS-adjacent workflows is highly valuable.

  • You already use AI daily in your work and actively seek to expand that advantage, not just occasionally experiment with it.

  • You have a portfolio showing real-world impact in complex products from problem framing through shipped outcomes.

What We Offer

~1 min read
You will own UX for a high-impact, high-usage professional product where design quality directly affects customer productivity and trust.
You will work on genuinely hard UX problems involving spatial context, synchronized map and imagery experiences, measurement workflows, and performance at scale.
You will be part of a team where AI is expected to raise the bar in both the product and the way work gets done.
You will have real ownership and influence over a business-critical application, not just isolated features.
