Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and reliable Summer Students to join our team for the season. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a labourer and operations environment, supporting daily yard activities, truck maintenance, and general upkeep.

Summer Students will assist with a variety of tasks including cleaning, basic maintenance, and general labourer duties. While no prior industrial experience is required, this role is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical, on-the-job experience in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.

The primary focus of this role includes washing trucks, maintaining a clean and organized yard, and supporting operational tasks such as loading tanker trucks, painting, and lawn care.

Key Responsibilities

·      Clean company trucks and vehicles using pressure washers, hoses, and basic cleaning tools

• Assist with loading tanker trucks under supervision, ensuring safety procedures are followed
• Support painting and basic maintenance tasks as required
• Perform yard upkeep, including lawn care, garbage removal, sweeping, and organizing tools and equipment
• Safely operate basic equipment such as vacuums, pressure washers, and other assigned tools
• Assist with general labourer duties, including lifting, moving materials, and site clean-up
• Follow all health and safety procedures while working around vehicles, equipment, and loading areas
• Report any visible damage, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to a supervisor
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude
• Support the team with other duties as assigned, based on operational needs

Qualifications & Specifications

• Must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a secondary or post-secondary program
• Valid G-Class driver’s license is considered an asset
• Ability to perform physical labourer, including lifting, bending, and manual handling (up to 50 lbs or more)
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols
• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexible availability, including potential weekends or varying hours based on operational needs
• Previous labourer or outdoor work experience is an asset but not required
