Responsibilities
~3 min read- →Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals, operational efficiency, margin growth, and risk mitigation.
- →Evaluate existing procurement, licensing, hardware procurement, and fulfillment processes and lead transformation initiatives to improve scalability, consistency, and controls.
- →Establish procurement policies, governance frameworks, and operational standards that support transparency, compliance, and accountability.
- →Partner closely with executive leadership, operations teams, finance, and service delivery stakeholders to support business objectives and client commitments.
- →Own procurement-related gross margin performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability across hardware, licensing, and variable billing activities.
- →Develop financial reporting and analytical models that provide visibility into cost of goods sold (COGS), profitability, and purchasing trends.
- →Design and oversee centralized software licensing management practices, including reconciliation of vendor invoices, licensing utilization, and customer billing.
- →Ensure licensing margins are protected and variable billing processes are accurate, auditable, and optimized.
- →Lead end-to-end hardware procurement, inventory management, forecasting, ordering, and fulfillment operations.
- →Implement inventory controls and replenishment strategies that support high-touch, white-glove client service delivery.
- →Serve as the executive relationship owner for key technology, hardware, and licensing vendors.
- →Negotiate pricing, contracts, renewals, and strategic agreements that support company growth and profitability objectives.
- →Develop vendor performance scorecards and conduct regular business reviews to drive accountability and service excellence.
- →Create data-driven dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into inventory, licensing utilization, vendor performance, margins, and operational KPIs.
- →Explore and implement automation, AI-powered solutions, and process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational friction.
- →Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and licensing team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- →Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- →Master's degree and/or professional certifications such as CPSM or C.P.M. preferred.
- →10+ years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- →Experience within a Managed Services Provider (MSP), technology services organization, or similarly complex technology-driven environment strongly preferred.
- →Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement operations, vendor management, hardware procurement, inventory management, and software licensing.
- →Proven experience leading organizational transformation initiatives and redesigning procurement functions.
- →Strong financial and business acumen, including experience managing margins, analyzing profitability, and interpreting complex operational data.
- →Demonstrated success negotiating complex vendor agreements and managing strategic technology vendor relationships.
- →Experience creating scalable processes that support exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
- →Outstanding leadership, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
