Founding Product Manager — Spring AI

Location: New York City, NY (Onsite, 5 days/week)
Compensation: $175,000 – $225,000 base + equity
Experience Level: New grad to 4 years

Spring is an AI-native lender that originated over $100M in funding to CPG brands during its first year. The company is now building an AI CFO agent that automates finance workflows across lending, accounting, banking, deductions, and email operations. Spring has already built its own loan management systems, payment rails, and financial analysis infrastructure — creating a unique foundation for AI-native financial automation.

This is a founding Product Manager role owning the AI CFO agent product surface area. You will work directly with engineers inside the product repo, drive customer discovery with CPG founders and finance teams, and ship lightweight engineering and design work when necessary. This is not a passive PM role — it is a builder seat for a high-agency product operator.

• Own the AI CFO agent product surface area
• Drive customer discovery with CPG founders and finance teams
• Translate customer insights into product specifications
• Shape workflows, UI states, tool calls, and agent behavior
• Work directly with engineers inside the product repo
• Automate internal workflows and operational processes
• Coordinate across engineering, sales, and customer teams
• Ship lightweight engineering and design work when necessary

• New grad to 4 years of experience
• High agency and strong communication skills
• Systems-thinking mindset
• Deep AI-native fluency — daily use of Claude, Cursor, agent frameworks, or similar tools
• Comfortable working closely with engineers
• Willing to perform light engineering and design work
• Strong product instincts
• NYC-based or willing to relocate

Strong signals include top university background, shipped side projects, strong GitHub portfolio, hackathon wins, startup founder experience, Claude Code experience, agent infrastructure experience, and a product-builder mindset. Ideal roles: Founding PM, Product Engineer, Startup Founder, Technical PM, AI PM, Agent Infrastructure Builder, Full Stack Builder transitioning into Product, or high-agency startup operator.
