Responsibilities

~1 min read

This is not a position where you lead from the sidelines. You will work directly alongside our Resident Life Partners—providing personal care, administering medications, responding to resident needs, and helping create a safe, welcoming, Christ-centered home. At the same time, you are the leader on the shift and the person the team looks to for direction, support, and accountability.

We need someone who can lead by example. Someone who is compassionate and approachable but also confident enough to set expectations, address concerns, coach employees, and hold the team accountable when standards aren't being met.

The right person will be able to:

  • Take charge of a shift and confidently make decisions
  • Provide excellent, hands-on care to our residents
  • Lead, coach, train, and motivate Resident Life Partners
  • Address performance concerns and hold others accountable
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
  • Stay calm and make sound decisions during emergencies or unexpected situations
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, pharmacies, physicians, and leadership
  • Recognize when something needs attention and take ownership of getting it done
  • Step in wherever needed rather than saying, "That's not my job"
  • Lead with compassion, integrity, professionalism, and a servant's heart

Someone who has proven experience in direct care AND leadership.

We're looking for a leader who can walk onto a shift, understand what's happening, identify what needs attention, organize the team, and make sure residents are receiving the quality care they deserve.

You should be comfortable having difficult conversations, giving feedback, training others, solving problems, and following through when expectations aren't being met. At the same time, you should genuinely enjoy working alongside your team and personally caring for residents.

Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, senior care, or a similar healthcare environment is important. CNA, MA, or other healthcare certifications are preferred.
