Summary Statement
A variety of seasonal park positions are available at Cape Henlopen State Park, which may include the following: \r\n\r\n\r\nCampground Registrar/Store Attendants: ($15.00) - responsible for all aspects of camp registration, database management, and camp store operations. \r\n\r\n\r\nCustodial: ($15.00) - responsible for the custodial cleaning of bathrooms, facilities and offices. \r\n\r\n\r\nGrounds: ($15.00) - responsible for the maintenance of grounds, facilities and equipment in the park along with maintaining trails. \r\n\r\n\r\nRevenue Attendant (Fee Collector): ($15.00) - responsible for welcoming park visitors, disseminating information, and collecting and accounting for park entrance fees. \r\n\r\n\r\nWork is performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions.\r\n\r\n\r\nApplicants must be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled.\r\n\r\n
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here. \r\n\r\n\r\n•\tMay collect appropriate rental fees. \r\n•\tMay register campers into computer database and generate reports as needed. \r\n•\tMay assist with maintenance and rental equipment. \r\n•\tMay perform grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, athletic field maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, leaf removal and snow/ice removal. \r\n•\tMay perform custodial services in restrooms, offices and other buildings. \r\n•\tProvide excellent customer service and park information to visitors. \r\n•\tMust be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills. \r\n•\tMust be able to work independently, willing to work in remote areas. \r\n•\tDuties will vary for each position. \r\n•\tOther duties as assigned.\r\n\r\n
Job Requirements

Six months customer service experience. \r\n2. Six months experience in cash handling and writing receipts. \r\n3. Six months experience in standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets or databases. \r\n\r\n\r\nMaintenance – Custodial/Grounds- \r\n1. Must be at least 18 years of age. \r\n2. Experience using landscaping equipment and hand or power tools. (Grounds only) \r\n3. Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving. \r\n\r\n\r\nRevenue Attendant- \r\n1. Knowledge of working with money and making change. \r\n2. Knowledge of math such as addition and subtraction.\r\n\r\n
