Summary Statement
This level is the technical and functional expert, responsible for planning and directing the operation of a major corporation section in Division of Corporations as well as associated corporations systems.\r\n
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here. \r\n\r\n Reviews and processes legal corporate and Uniform Commercial Code documents. Conducts research by reviewing Uniform Commercial Code holdings and listings of corporate entities formed in Delaware and corporate documentation on payments and tax liabilities. Determines if legal requirements are met, corrective action is needed, and assists clients in taking necessary action to meet legal requirements. \r\n Answers questions from attorneys, corporate officials, registered agents and the general public concerning Uniform Commercial Code and corporate documents, legal filings, franchise taxes, and corporate fees. Assists in resolving problems. \r\n Conducts collection activities for franchise taxes, interest, penalties, corporate and Uniform Commercial Code fees. \r\n Performs mathematical calculations relative to franchise taxes, penalties and interest, corporate and Uniform Commercial Code fees. \r\n Uses the Delaware Corporations Information System (DCIS) and imaging system to obtain information and make entries, changes, verification and corrections required in processing requests for service from clients. \r\n Conducts outreach to customers to ensure accuracy and quality of work submitted.\r\n Completes continuing education and learns new laws, rules, and regulations whether local or federal, i.e. Sanctions, Corporate Transparency Act, or Principal Place of Business.\r\n Compiles and prepares various reports pertaining to workload, work to be processed, refunds, reconciliation of deposits, revenue, new company, or related reports.\r\n Performs other related duties as required.\r\n\r\n
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Corporations Section Administrator \r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: \r\n\r\n Three years' experience in interpreting business entity OR Uniform Commercial Code laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures. \r\n One year of experience in information systems project management which includes planning, scheduling, staffing, coordinating, controlling, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on status of information systems projects. \r\n One year of experience in program administration such as overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and services; planning and establishing short and long range program goals and objectives. Providing advice to other agency organizational units through consultation. \r\n Six months' experience in operations management which includes planning, directing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating operations typically through subordinate supervisors. \r\n Six months' experience in developing policies or procedures. \r\n Knowledge of strategic planning such as planning and mapping a path between the present and future usually for three to five years by determining key objectives, how to accomplish the key objectives, what strategies should be used, what activities would contribute to accomplishing the key objectives and developing performance measures to gauge and report progress or success. \r\n Knowledge of revenue forecasting which includes examining revenue sources and conditions impacting revenues and analyzing past and present trends to predict future revenues.� \r\n\r\n
