Summary
The Field Service Engineer provides technical support for units in the field.  This role is responsible for generating field oriented procedures, nonconformance reports and field completion reports. This position requires working closely with design project teams, production, quality control (QC), vendors, customers, customer contractors, and Dearing subcontractors. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Review Commissioning and warranty paperwork prior to submittal.
  • Support unit in field installation/commissioning/warranty Period
  • Resolving field issues with customer/contractor and engineering interaction
  • Report non-conformances and field completion status.
  • Verify contractors are following Dearing’s standards during assembly and pre-commissioning.
  • Provide Dearing representation at onsite construction meetings when necessary.
  • Report customer and contractor comments back to engineering, QC, energy service and production.
  • Preform unit pre-commissioning checks and final commissioning of units when needed.
  • Assist in quoting/scheduling of billable projects outside of commissioning in conjunction with production and energy services.
  • Recommend process/design improvements to engineering and management.
  • Create and maintain detailed unit/project documentation. 
  • Assist in creation and implementation of field related procedures (installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning) in concurrence with engineering and energy service.
  • Write job plans and scopes for field related work.
  • Participate in unit test runs in shop, customer shop inspections, kick-off meetings, project wrap up meetings and conference calls when required.
  • Establish, develop and maintain customer/contractor/vendor relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years experience of field work 
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Work in a team based environment
