We are supporting an international project-driven business operating across the construction and infrastructure sector in the search for a Legal Counsel to join their growing team.
This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who wants genuine ownership and visibility within a business.
As the lead legal advisor, you will work closely with senior leadership across a broad range of international construction, commercial, and strategic matters. The role offers significant autonomy, direct involvement in business decisions, and the chance to shape legal processes within a fast-moving international environment.

- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, aligned with commercial objectives and internal policies
- Managing the full contract lifecycle, including documentation, amendments, and performance tracking
- Supporting the management of commercial agreements such as leases and software contracts
- Working closely with People teams to ensure employment law compliance across different jurisdictions
- Acting as a point of contact for external counsel and coordinating legal advice where required
- Preparing clear, concise contract and risk reports for senior management
- Collaborating with project and finance teams to ensure smooth contract execution
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments relevant to construction and infrastructure projects, including sustainability-related topics
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members on contract management best practices
Requirements
~1 min read- Fully qualified lawyer in Germany (Volljurist:in)
- 4+ years’ experience in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments
- Strong knowledge of international contract frameworks such as FIDIC, with experience handling claims and EOT matters
- Familiarity with German standard forms (VOB/B, BGB) is advantageous
- Broader understanding of commercial, employment, and corporate law
- Fluent in German and English
- Strong negotiation skills with a clear, pragmatic communication style
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
