DeepL is a global AI product and research company focused on building secure, intelligent solutions to complex business problems. Over 200,000 business customers and millions of individuals across 228 global markets today trust DeepL's Language AI platform for human-like translation, improved writing and real-time voice translation.
Founded in 2017 by CEO Jaroslaw “Jarek” Kutylowski, DeepL now has around 1,000 passionate employees and is supported by world-renowned investors including Benchmark, IVP, and Index Ventures.

Our goal is to become the global leader in trusted, intelligent AI technology, building products that drive better communication, foster connections, and create a meaningful impact. To achieve this, we need talented people like you to join our journey. If you’re ready to shape the future of AI and grow your career in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment, DeepL is your next destination.

What sets us apart is our blend of cutting-edge AI technology, meaningful work, and a culture where people truly thrive. We’re a team of innovators, researchers, and creators driven by a shared purpose to unlock human potential by making work simpler, smarter, and more connected.

When we share what it’s like to work at DeepL, the reactions are overwhelmingly positive. This might be because of our technology that helps millions of people and businesses communicate and work better every day, or because of the trust, curiosity, and care that shape our culture.

What we know for sure is this: being part of DeepL means joining a team dedicated to innovation, growth, and well-being. Discover more about life at DeepL onLinkedIn,Instagram, and our Blog.

This role sits within the DeepL API product marketing function, reporting to the product marketing lead for the API. In practice it operates at the boundary between marketing, product, and engineering — closer to a product engineering mindset than a traditional marketing one. You will work directly with the API product team and engineering leads on a daily basis. The agentic ecosystem work is one of the highest-priority bets in DeepL's current strategy; this role has direct visibility to that strategy and direct influence on how it lands.

DeepL is the language AI company trusted by over 200,000 businesses and used by millions of people worldwide. We are a remote-first company with offices in Cologne, Berlin, London, New York, Austin, San Francisco and Tokyo. For this role we are prioritising candidates based in the United States, with strong consideration for the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

The work that compounds fastest is not conference talks or blog posts — it is the repository someone forks, the prompt template embedded in a starter kit, the implementation example a coding assistant returns when asked how to add translation or speech to an agentic workflow. Your job is to create those artefacts and to provide suggestions for capabilities that could unlock more value, including:

  • Prompt libraries and agent templates that make DeepL the obvious choice for agentic builders — across text translation, speech-to-text, and speech-to-speech

  • Implementation examples and integration guides structured for both human readers and AI retrieval — when a developer asks their coding assistant how to add translation or voice to an agent, DeepL should be the answer it surfaces

  • Workflow documentation showing how DeepL's glossary, style rules, and customisation capabilities combine with agentic patterns in ways a native LLM translation cannot replicate — and how speech-to-text and speech-to-speech extend those patterns into voice-driven workflows

  • Code samples and reference integrations that demonstrate production-quality usage, not toy demos

  • Feedback from the build: where DeepL's API, MCP, and CLI surfaces don't support emerging agentic patterns cleanly, bring that back to product and engineering as concrete roadmap input — you will often be the first person to hit the sharp edges

The scarce skill in developer content right now is not explaining what an API does — any model can do that. It is showing how a thoughtful practitioner actually uses it: where they pause, what they verify, when they trust the output and when they don't, and what a production-grade integration looks like versus one that will break under real conditions. And developers no longer discover that content through branded hubs — they find it on GitHub, Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn, and developer newsletters, and increasingly through what their AI coding assistant recommends. The what and the where are one job:

  • Write, record, and publish content that shows witnessed practice — how DeepL's translation and voice capabilities combine with agentic workflows to get results a native LLM cannot reproduce — for an audience building production systems

  • Participate meaningfully in the communities where agentic developers work — not as a brand voice, but as a credible practitioner

  • Amplify the developers already building with DeepL through implementation showcases, workflow breakdowns, and collaborative content that surface real usage

  • Build relationships with creator-developers and ecosystem voices whose audiences overlap with DeepL's target builder cohorts

  • Feedback from the ecosystem: relay what builders are asking for in MCP forums, GitHub issues, and community threads — and where DeepL loses to native LLM translation in a developer's evaluation, and why — back to product and engineering as the person with the clearest view of what the ecosystem needs next

    • Direct experience shipping integrations into Copilot, Claude tools, or the ChatGPT plugin ecosystem

    • Hands-on experience with voice and speech products — speech-to-text or speech-to-speech APIs, real-time audio pipelines, or voice agent frameworks

    • Familiarity with localisation toolchains, TMS, or CAT tools

    • An existing presence in agentic developer communities — GitHub, Discord, Substack, or similar — where your work is already known

    • Experience structuring technical content for AI-searchable discoverability

    • Background in a developer-facing role at a B2B API or infrastructure company (translation experience not required; infrastructure instincts are)
