This position is on the Non-Human Identity (NHI) team, a key new area on the Delinea platform. You will help build the products that discover, govern, and secure machine identities: service accounts, secrets, workloads, and AI agents. These now outnumber human identities 46:1 in every enterprise. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will architect, develop, and deliver secure, scalable microservices using C# on .NET, running in Kubernetes on Microsoft Azure and backed by Azure Cosmos DB and RabbitMQ, while automating infrastructure with Terraform.
This position plays a key role in strengthening Delinea’s identity and access management ecosystem through high-quality engineering practices and innovation. You will report to the team’s engineering manager.

Architect the design and help develop, test and maintain secure microservices and distributed systems using C# .NET, ensuring alignment with Delinea’s cloud and security architecture standards.

Develop, maintain, and optimize data access across Azure Cosmos DB and relational systems (Azure SQL), and implement caching and RabbitMQ-based event-driven workflows for internal and platform messaging.

Integrate with enterprise identity providers (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID/Graph) and internal identity and multi-tenancy services to support secure, tenant-aware access control.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent provisioning and lifecycle management of Azure resources.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, automated deployments using Azure DevOps.

Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to define system roadmaps, ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements.

Conduct code and design reviews, emphasizing performance, security, and maintainability.

Provide technical mentorship to engineering peers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with C# .NET and microservices architectures.
Proficiency designing, developing, and maintaining data access across NoSQL databases (Azure Cosmos DB or similar) and relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL), including schema design and query optimization.
Experience with event-driven, message-based systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus) and distributed data consistency.
Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration in a cloud environment.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure Cloud.
Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, privileged access control, and policy-based authorization approaches (e.g., Cedar).
Experience integrating with enterprise identity providers such as Okta or Microsoft Entra ID/Graph.
Knowledge of observability frameworks (Datadog, OpenTelemetry) for monitoring and diagnostics.
