Applied AI Creative Technologist
Quick Summary
Design, develop, and implement data-driven creative solutions tailored to client challenges, leveraging predictive models and AI technologies to deliver business value.
DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.
This role is part of our Global Studios team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients.
You sit at the intersection of copywriting, design, and generative AI, and you know how to make all three work together at scale. In this role, you will build the systems behind the creative: brand-trained copy pipelines, AI-assisted design workflows, and multi-agent architecture that turns manual content production into repeatable, scalable engines.
You bring fluency in both what makes great copy and great design, paired with the technical depth to build production-grade AI systems using tools like Jasper, Weavy, OpenAI/GPT, Gemini, Claude, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Flux, and ComfyUI. You're comfortable fine-tuning models on brand voice, orchestrating multi-step prompt chains, and deploying outputs that creative teams can use, not just demo.
You'll join the DEPT® Studios team, working across clients to design and ship AI-powered content generation systems for both copy and visual assets, while educating creative teams on best practices and staying ahead of what's next.
You will also play a key role in new business efforts across generative AI and creative automation, including Lightspeed, our proprietary product. This includes shaping solution approaches, defining how automation can address client challenges, and contributing to pitch narratives, demonstrations, and technical solution design that clearly communicate the value of scalable content production.
Responsibilities

- →Consult and guide clients by defining AI use cases, validating ideas through proof of concepts (POCs), and deploying scalable production-ready systems.
- →Build and maintain end-to-end design and copy AI systems, with focus on scalability, observability and continuous optimization of model performance.
- →Develop multi-agent and AI workflows, built from scratch or using low-code tools, that reliably orchestrate data, tools, and context into production-grade solutions.
- →Work closely with back-end engineers, front-end developers, DevOps, strategists and clients, taking a leading role in aligning efforts to deliver impactful design and copy solutions.
