Lead Architect (AI Orchestration & Agentic Platform)
Quick Summary
Design and oversee the end-to-end AI Orchestration System, ensuring seamless integration between the "Shared Brain" (Context Hub), multi-agent orchestration (LangGraph),
We are pioneers at heart. What this means, is that we are always leaning forward, thinking of what we can create tomorrow that does not exist today. We were born digital and we are a new model of agency, with a deep skillset in tech and marketing. That’s why we hire curious, self-driven, talented people who never stop innovating.
Our culture is big enough to cope and small enough to care. Meaning, that with people across 20+ countries, we’re big enough to provide you with the best tools, global opportunities, and benefits that help you thrive. While acting small by investing in you, your growth, your team, and giving you the autonomy to solve our clients’ problems, no matter where you are in the world.
As the Lead Architect for the Future of Work program, you are the technical mastermind behind DEPT®’s AI Orchestration System for Work. While the persistent AI assistant ("D") serves as the primary interface through Slack and Chrome, your focus is the entire underlying engine—a system designed to orchestrate complex work streams, manage persistent context, and automate multi-step professional tasks across the enterprise.
You will provide the technical vision and "final say" for all engineering decisions across our specialized PODs (Context, AI Assistant, Experience, and Federated Data). You aren't just building a chatbot; you are re-architecting how a global agency executes work.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Systemic Architecture: Design and oversee the end-to-end AI Orchestration System, ensuring seamless integration between the "Shared Brain" (Context Hub), multi-agent orchestration (LangGraph), and third-party tool ecosystems.
- →Technical Authority: Manage the Tech Leads and Lead Engineers within the PODs. You hold the ultimate accountability for the engineering roadmap, technical debt management, and the quality of the final build.
- →AI-Native Operations: Lead the mandate to "automate the automation." You will ensure the engineering team uses Gemini and other AI tools to accelerate the build, maintaining a standard of high fluency in AI-assisted development.
- →Data & Security Governance: Define the architecture for workspace isolation and "defense-in-depth" security to ensure client data remains siloed while enabling a unified user experience.
- →Stakeholder Triad: Act as the technical pillar alongside the PMO Lead and Head of Product, ensuring that technical feasibility never compromises the "North Star" product vision or delivery timelines.
LangGraph (Primary), Langflow for rapid prototyping.
Google Gemini (GSuite integration), Vertex AI, and specialized LLMs.
Vertex AI Vector Search, BigQuery, and custom Context APIs.
Chrome Extension (Manifest V3), Slack App, and API-first integrations.
Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Okta (Identity), and GitHub Actions.
Jira/Confluence (Technical), Asana (General), GSuite.
Success in this role will be measured by the successful delivery of our 2026 "Platform Development" objectives:
- Q2 Milestone: Delivery of a fully functional, stable AI Orchestration System and Assistant interface.
- T25 Integration: Successful mapping of processes and delivery of integrated, automated workflows for our top 25 global clients.
- Efficiency Gains: Architecting a system that enables a measurable 15-20% uplift in "Doing Knowledge" efficiency across the organization.
- Technical Excellence: Maintaining zero high-severity security breaches and ensuring 99.9% uptime for the Context Hub and Orchestration engine.
- AI Adoption: Achieving 100% "Teaching and Leading Knowledge" level for all tech specialists under your guidance.
You are a "Benefits Backwards" architect. You don't build tech for tech's sake; you build it to solve the friction of modern work. You are comfortable being the final decision-maker in high-pressure environments and possess the rare ability to translate complex agentic patterns into clear, executable roadmaps for your engineering leads.
