The Community Impact Coordinator is a key member of the Detroit Lions Foundation & Community Impact Team, which conducts the heart-work of the organization. This high-functioning team works collaboratively and focuses on 5 core pillars (Food Access, Literacy, Cancer Support, Military Support, and Social Justice), NFL initiatives and emergency response need. This multi-faceted position will report to and work closely with the Manager of Community Impact & Legend Relations. The Community Impact Coordinator will have an active role with the Legends Community in addition to coordinating events and activations during the season and throughout the year.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Supports in projects and organizational tasks, as needed (e.g., data entry, correspondences, invoice processing, scheduling, event logistics, assist with concur)
- →Coordinate all administrative details for visitors, including greeting and escorting all scheduled visitors, coordinating conference rooms, food and beverages, calendar requests, conference rooms, A/V, travel, and other activities as needed. Monitor status of all visitors while on-site
- →Occasionally assist Football Operations with DLFA-related community activities
- →Performs other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in events, hospitality, community/public engagement and/or business administration, preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, exercise flexibility as needed, communicate changes or updates in a timely manner
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent at building and maintaining professional relationships and strong ability to cultivate a sense of community internally
- Self-starter who is excited to add value to their team and organization
- A valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
- Will adjust schedule as needed to meet work goals and time constraints.
- May require work out of both the Ford Field Management Office and the Meijer Performance Center
- Team-First mindset and approach in all duties and responsibilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to connect with, and relate to, all levels of staff, management, clients, and vendors.
- Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new programs. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
