Through housing counseling, financial education, lending, and asset-building programs, we work to expand access to opportunity and address barriers that have historically limited economic mobility.

We're seeking an Asset Building Specialist who is passionate about helping people reach their financial goals through education, coaching, outreach, and community partnership building.

Why Join DevNW?

In addition to meaningful work that makes a difference in our communities, we offer:

  • Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees (your monthly premium could be $0 depending on the plan selected)
  • Flexible schedules, including alternative work schedules where operationally feasible
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, floating holidays, self-care days, and 11 paid holidays annually
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • 401(k) with employer match

What You'll Do

  • Develop action plans that support financial stability and mortgage readiness
  • Facilitate homebuyer education and financial wellness classes
  • Coordinate class logistics, materials, volunteers, and scheduling
  • Conduct community outreach, presentations, and partnership development
  • Support the cultivation of prospective homebuyers for affordable homeownership opportunities
  • Connect clients with additional DevNW programs and resources
  • Maintain accurate client records and required documentation
  • Collaborate on curriculum development and continuous program improvement

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience working directly with clients
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive service delivery
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Lane, Benton, Marion, and Clackamas Counties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial coaching, housing counseling, lending, banking, mortgage, real estate, or related fields
  • Experience facilitating adult education or training
  • Community outreach or client recruitment experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills
  • HUD Housing Counselor Certification

Successful candidates must:

  • Pass the HUD Housing Counselor Certification exam within 60 days of hire
  • Obtain a Homeownership Counseling Certification within one year of hire

Work Schedule & Location

This position requires occasional evening and Saturday classes and occasional travel. While applicants throughout our service area are welcome to apply, candidates located in or near Marion County are strongly preferred.

If you're passionate about helping individuals and families build stronger financial futures and expand access to homeownership, we'd love to hear from you.
