Hologic is a global medical technology company focused on improving women’s health and well-being through innovative diagnostics, medical imaging and surgical solutions.

As our Country HR Partner, you will be a trusted, in-country HR expert and leadership partner, playing a key role in helping our people leaders build high-performing teams and deliver meaningful business outcomes.

A significant part of your role will be coaching and partnering with managers across the organisation, with a primary focus on people leaders up to and including Director level. You will bring together strong leadership and performance coaching capability with a deep understanding of your client groups, their key talent and their strategic priorities.

This is a highly influential role for someone who enjoys being close to the business, building trusted relationships and constructively challenging leaders to think differently about talent, performance and growth.

What to expect

In this role, you will work closely with People Leaders and expert HR teams to ensure the resources and interventions required to support the people strategy are available when needed.

You will influence by building strong relationships at key levels within client groups and more broadly across the organisation, gaining commitment and belief that HR can and will contribute to business results through leadership, performance and engagement.

You will develop personal and professional HR credibility through courage, integrity and initiative, using this credibility to challenge business leaders to be the best they can be. You will proactively promote HR interventions that add value to the bottom line now and into the future.

You will identify and nurture the talent needed to meet long-term objectives, ensuring access to and visibility of key talent at multiple levels. You will also support succession planning and help identify the values, behaviours and skills future leaders need to develop.

  • Working in close partnership with internal HR functions, including Total Rewards, Talent & Performance, HR Service Delivery, and regional and corporate/global HR teams, to ensure a positive and high-quality employee experience.
  • Acting as a performance coach for people leaders, nurturing high-performance behaviours and acting as a driver and catalyst for growth.
  • Leading talent management for the relevant business units and function, including facilitating talent mapping, succession planning and action planning.
  • Partnering closely with Regional HR Partners, HR Service Delivery, Corporate HR, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and Talent & Performance to ensure the client group is well supported.
  • Working effectively within the broader HR structure, accepting a degree of overlap with other functions as needed for effective operations.
  • Partnering with HR Service Delivery on the resolution of employee relations cases and acting as a point of escalation for complex ER cases.
  • Partnering with people leaders on compensation planning to ensure the Hologic Compensation Policy and Process is effectively implemented locally.
  • Gathering intelligence on good people management practices internally and externally, so you can raise issues of which the broader team and leadership may be unaware.
What we expect

We are looking for someone who brings strong HR expertise, excellent coaching capability and the confidence to influence at multiple levels.

You will have:

  • A high-level understanding of the legal and statutory environment within your scope.
  • Knowledge of Hologic’s Human Resources policies and initiatives relevant to your scope, including the calendar of corporate activity such as compensation planning.
  • Strong knowledge of Hologic’s products, services and enterprise priorities.
  • Fluency when discussing strategic plans, revenue and financial metrics, and business targets.
  • Clear commercial awareness and alignment with leadership on the most important levers for success.
  • Strong relationships with people leaders within your geographical area of responsibility, with the ability to articulate their strengths and development opportunities.
  • The confidence to make informed judgements about the talents and capabilities of this leadership group.
  • A deep understanding of Hologic’s talent and performance philosophy, including strengths, engagement, leadership expectations and development investment.

You will be skilled in:

  • Coaching, both as a “pure coach” and as a “sports coach”.
  • Selecting and deploying development models as required.
  • Selecting and recruiting in line with talent expectations.
  • Analysing and diagnosing talent and performance needs based on assessment reports, strengths profiles and other inputs.
  • Operating independently as an HR generalist when required, for example in performance or disciplinary matters.
  • Designing or commissioning meaningful metrics and reports.
  • Accurately interpreting data sets to derive insight.
  • Communicating confidently and effectively, both in person and in writing.
  • Holding a room and facilitating workshops as required.

You will demonstrate the following behaviours:

  • Embodying Hologic’s Leadership Expectations and setting an enterprise example.
  • Operating with positive, enterprise-level intent.
  • Being curious, collaborative, courageous and constructive.
  • Looking beyond your direct scope and being generous with your time and insights for the benefit of the organisation.
  • Quickly building and maintaining credible, productive relationships inside and outside the HR team.
  • Constructively challenging leaders and positively disrupting where needed to drive better talent, performance and growth outcomes.
