Position: Lien Negotiator / PI Closing Specialist (Bilingual English/Spanish)

Summary: Seeking a negotiation expert with strong numerical skills and US Personal Injury law experience to manage medical liens, settlement disbursements, and case closings. Must be comfortable in high-volume environments and have direct experience with California PI cases.

Responsibilities:

• Lien Resolution & Reduction: Review, analyze, and negotiate medical bills and complex liens (Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, health insurance, hospital/provider liens, ERISA).

• Financial Documentation: Prepare accurate settlement statements, lien allocation documents, and disbursement summaries.

• Caseload Management: Manage a high-volume caseload of active settlement files from intake through closing.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Case Managers and Attorneys to ensure smooth case closings.

• Data Integrity: Maintain precise lien and settlement records in Filevine and other PI case management systems.

Requirements:

• Experience: 2+ years in medical lien negotiation, PI closing roles, or as a PI Closing Specialist at a personal injury law firm.

• Regional Expertise: Direct experience handling California personal injury cases, California liens, and Medi-Cal.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Filevine (highly preferred) or other PI case management software.

• Negotiation & Analysis: Proven track record of achieving lien reductions and managing complex settlements.

• Soft Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive with follow-ups.

• Communication: Professional communication skills and fluent/native-level proficiency in both English and Spanish (Bilingual).
