We provide the highest quality liquid storage design and construction services at the best long-term value with an unrivaled customer experience. We have built over 3,500 pre-stressed concrete liquid storage tanks over the past 90 years around the country and world, as a result we have become the leader in the industry when it comes to quality and innovation.

The CTS journeyman is responsible for completing all work required throughout the phases of the tank

repair, retrofit and new tank building processes. The CTS journeyman shall set the pace of work and

assist other local workers with knowledge and guidance for performing the work safely and with quality.

The CTS journeyman is responsible for managing the following tasks at the direction of the

Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Foreman.

Completes assignments in a timely fashion with little supervision; askes for additional

information when tasks or assignments are unclear and supports the daily plan.

Understands the tank building process and can identify the next tasks to be completed in the

process uses that knowledge to complete rehabilitation and retrofit projects.

Assists in checking grade and subgrade elevations using level or transit.

Assists with the shoring erection, bracing, dismantling, and load out of shoring materials.

Learns to read and interpret tank and shoring drawings.

Assists with assembling pipe and fabrication of forms for pipe pits.

Installs Appurtenances.

Trains apprentices.

Follows safety procedures and understands DN Tanks safety policies.

Participates in the review of the task hazard analysis (THA).

Identifies safety hazards and participates in the Award of Excellence (AOE) Program.

Promotes clean, safe work practices by watching over other employees while performing work.

Follows quality control (QC) program, understands construction tolerances, and reports any

quality defects immediately.

Maintains all certifications in compliance with DN Tanks Safety & Equipment Programs.

Responsible for continuous site cleanup and organization.

Loads out the tank including braces, shoring, etc.

Assists with shoring Installation.

Establishes and executes DN University training goals with assistance from the Field Operations

Manager.

Plans safety into each operation and identifies or removes hazards immediately as part of the

task without being asked.

CTS

Analyze problem areas and make recommendations for repairs.

Communicate effectively with the office, owners and engineers to keep all apprised of project status.

Evaluate, remove and repair concrete as required.

Erect and dismantle shoring, scaffolding and staging.

Prestress wire removal and replacement utilizing wire stressing techniques.

Repair existing appurtenances to include ladders, hatches, and vents.

Perform tank chlorination procedures and leakage tests.

Repair seepage and leakage utilizing standard DN Tanks’ injection methods.

Follows all confined space procedures at all times
