Anaesthetist

Doctors Hospital, in its continued mission to provide exceptional healthcare services to its patients and clients, is currently accepting applications for an Anaesthetist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing anesthetics to patients for surgery and intensive care. The post holder will care for patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring they are safe and comfortable. The post holder will also be expected to act autonomously, with responsibility for all patients within the procedures established by Doctors Hospital.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Six years’ experience as an anaesthetist with a degree in medicine
• Board certified, or equivalent, in anesthesia and critical care practice
• Experience in community-based hospitals following residency training or internship
• Ability to obtain privileges to practice at Doctors Hospital, recognized by the Medical and Dental Council of the Cayman Islands
• Registered with the Medical and Dental Council of the Cayman Islands
• Ability to obtain and maintain malpractice insurance
• Appropriate knowledge base and ability to apply sound clinical judgment to problems

This position may include weekends, public holidays, and emergency duties.
