In this role, you’ll help craft narratives, grow our brand presence, and amplify our story to the intellectual property industry and the world. You'll work directly with senior leaders, gain exposure to high-level strategy, and see how communications and marketing power real-world business outcomes. One week you’re helping produce a keynote for global stakeholders; the next, you're experimenting with creative content that pushes boundaries.

Overview:
We’re looking for a strategic and high-performing intern to join our Communications and Marketing team, which is charged with supporting the goals of the business and for raising our profile through social media, earned media, events, paid digital campaigns, event sponsorships, and a lot more. Above all, your work will elevate how Via contributes to a collaborative patent licensing ecosystem that will further accelerate technology adoption across various devices and categories.
Reporting directly to Via’s Head of Communications and Marketing, this role will:
* Work with the team to develop internal and external comms and marketing strategies.
* Support major Via events throughout the year.
* Develop social media content and strategies to further boost Via’s visibility online
* Support marketing campaigns for specific Via programs
* Contribute to earned media efforts within the organization and support engagement with members of the media
* Support the development of presentations and other communications material
* Conduct research as needed in support of Via’s communications and marketing initiatives and events
Qualifications:
* Demonstrated project management skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
* Strong ability to follow direction while identifying opportunities for new ideas and solutions
* Strong attention to detail and deadlines
* Comfort working with senior executives
* Ability to facilitate cross functional projects across multiple stakeholders
* Ability to work independently with self-awareness to know when to ask for guidance from team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to create and deliver compelling presentations
* Moderate experience with all MS Office applications
* Knowledge and passion of event management a plus
* Familiarity with Canva or other design programs strongly preferred
* Interest in and willingness to experiment with new tools and technologies to generate faster and better outcomes for the team and organization

Eligibility:
Working towards an undergrad degree or MBA; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply. Must be available to work full-time Monday – Friday for 6 months between September 2026- December 2026.
Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* this date is not flexible)

The San Francisco/Bay Area base hourly range for this internship position is $33-43//hr and can vary if outside of this location. Our hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific hourly range and perks and benefits for your location during the hiring process.
