You'll work directly with guests, manage our golf shop, coordinate tournaments, and learn the business side of golf operations. This isn't just shadowing someone—you'll have actual responsibilities that matter to our guests' experiences on courses that rank among the top 16 public courses in America.

About Bandon Dunes Golf Resort:

Bandon Dunes is a world-class golf resort located on the Oregon Coast near the charming community of Bandon. Guests come to experience golf as it was meant to be at Bandon Dunes' six distinct golf courses. That includes five 18-hole courses, which all rank among the top 16 public courses in the United States, according to Golf Digest. The resort is also home to an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve. A second par-3 course, Shorty's, will open in 2024. The two short courses are 'Courses with a Mission,' with all net proceeds funding the Bandon Dunes Charitable Foundation. The Foundation supports communities along the South Coast of Oregon.

Learn the retail side of golf. You'll become an expert on our golf shop merchandise, help guests find what they need, and handle special orders. This means understanding products well enough to make real recommendations, not just ringing up sales.

Handle real transactions. You'll process merchandise sales, greens fees, and equipment rentals while keeping accurate records. You'll learn the financial side of golf operations through actual daily work, not textbook theory.

Provide genuine customer service. You'll answer guest questions, schedule tee times, and maintain professional phone interactions. When guests call, you'll be the voice they hear representing Bandon Dunes.

Support tournaments and events. You'll help organize competitions and special events, coordinating between different departments to make sure everything runs smoothly. This is where you'll see how all the moving pieces fit together.

Manage inventory and operations. You'll help keep merchandise displays organized, assist with inventory counts, and support various services like handicapping systems and driving range operations.

You're pursuing a Professional Golf Management degree. We work with certified PGM programs and prefer students who can commit to a 6-month internship. This gives you enough time to really learn the business, not just get a quick overview.

You communicate well. Strong written and verbal skills matter here because you'll interact with guests from around the world. You need to sound professional on the phone and explain complex golf services clearly.

You can handle multiple priorities. Golf operations move fast, and you'll need to manage several tasks while staying calm under pressure. If you get flustered easily when things get busy, this probably isn't the right fit.

You're flexible with your schedule. Golf doesn't stop for weekends or holidays. You'll work evenings, weekends, and busy periods when our guests need us most.
