About the Role

~1 min read
  • Establish Foundational Processes: Design, implement, and manage the company's rolling forecast process, annual budget cycle, and long-range financial planning models to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Drive IPO Readiness: Contribute significantly to building a public company-caliber FP&A function, focusing on institutionalizing reporting, and creating the "no-surprises" financial infrastructure required for a potential IPO.
  • Analyze Business Performance: Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), deconstruct complex fintech and brokerage unit economics, and deliver actionable insights on margin expansion, capital allocation, and partner profitability.
  • Tech Stack Modernization: Participate in the implementation and deployment of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to automate reporting and improve the efficiency and scalability of the finance tech stack.
  • Support Executive Reporting: Prepare high-quality financial materials for the Executive Team and Board of Directors, effectively communicating the critical financial narrative and key operational metrics.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, corporate FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or financial strategy, preferably within a high-growth fintech or financial services organization.
  • Mandatory experience in a public company setting or direct involvement in taking a company through the IPO process.
  • Prior investment banking experience is highly preferred but not required.
  • Proven ownership of company-wide financial planning, forecasting, and comprehensive financial modeling.
  • Deep expertise in complex financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and deconstructing brokerage unit economics.
  • Experience building, implementing, and improving financial reporting systems and planning infrastructure (e.g., EPM/BI tools).
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executives, boards, and investors.
  • Strong leadership instincts with a track record of partnering with senior executives, developing teams, and instilling operational rigor across the organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field; a higher degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) is a plus.
  • A track record of ownership and disciplined execution in high-stakes environments.
  • The ability to prioritize ruthlessly, focusing on what’s critical versus important to drive work to completion.
  • Strength in cross-functional partnership with the judgment to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Impeccable high integrity, sound judgment, and a deep respect for risk, control, and operational excellence.
