CNC Set-up Operator

Design West Technologies Inc. of Tustin, CA has an immediate need for a full-time CNC Setup Machinist. • →Set up and operate 5-axis Mori Seiki machining centers.
• →Set up and operate Mori Seiki horizontal machining centers.
• →Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process sheets as well as install fixtures, tooling and probes.
• →Conduct first article inspections and in-process inspections.
• →Perform tool touch-offs and offsets.
• →Troubleshoot machining issues and make program adjustments as needed.
• →Work closely with programmers and production team to improve cycle time.
• →Follow all safety and quality procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• →High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• →Minimum 3+ year experience in CNC setup experience with Mori Seiki machines (5-axis preferred) & Horizontal machining experience required.
• →Ability to read and interpret technical drawings required
• →Working knowledge of GD&T Methodology and experience tight tolerance parts and experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, etc.).
• →CNC lath setup experience is a plus
• →Familiarity with Fanuc or Mori control systems.
• →Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
