Mechanic

At Globe Communications, LLC, as a Mechanic, you’ll perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on the company’s fleet of vehicles and equipment. You’ll ensure all vehicles operate safely and efficiently, in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

• →Responsible for mechanic duties for all North Carolina locations
• →Determine repair or maintenance plans for vehicles and equipment based on cost/benefit analysis
• →Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment
• →Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance
• →Follow work procedures for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• →Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment such as trackhoes, backhoes, and other specialized machinery
• →Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations
• →Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times
• →Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning
• →Maintain a clean and orderly workspace
• →Other duties as assigned

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Mechanics may be expected to provide their own standard tools. The shop will supply large-diameter and specialty tools as needed
• A minimum of 1 year experience as a mechanic, preferably with a focus on fleet vehicles or commercial equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment
