Dynamis, Inc. is hiring experienced real estate and facilities professionals to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS), one of the nation's premier federal law enforcement and facility security agencies. Our team provides direct support to FPS's dynamic and mission-critical real estate portfolio spanning approximately 820,000 square feet of office and warehouse space across roughly 180 offices and 280 occupancy agreements nationwide. You'll work alongside FPS leadership and GSA counterparts to optimize the agency's real estate footprint, execute complex space planning and relocation projects, manage occupancy agreements, and advance long-term strategic portfolio goals. This is high-visibility work at the intersection of federal real estate, infrastructure, and homeland security  where your expertise shapes how FPS operates, grows, and serves the nation.

The Space Planner serves as FPS's in-house subject matter expert on space utilization, office design, and workspace optimization. You will translate mission requirements into actionable floor plans and phased build-out strategies, working hand-in-hand with FPS leadership, GSA counterparts, and construction contractors across a portfolio that spans field offices, enforcement facilities, and administrative headquarters nationwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain space plans, floor plans, and CAD drawings for FPS-occupied facilities across 180+ locations
  • Conduct space utilization studies and occupancy analyses to identify consolidation and optimization opportunities
  • Coordinate with GSA, building management, and facilities teams to ensure space plans align with lease terms and building standards
  • Support build-out and reconfiguration projects by preparing scope-of-work documentation and reviewing contractor submittals
  • Provide recommendations on space standards, furniture systems, and configuration best practices consistent with federal workspace guidelines
  • Maintain an accurate, current inventory of all FPS-assigned space including square footage, headcount capacity, and configuration data
  • Brief FPS leadership on space planning options, trade-offs, and recommendations in support of strategic decisions
