Position Summary
This isn’t just about moving materials – it’s about moving them right.
You’ll play a key role in keeping our yard safe, organized, and efficient by operating equipment with focus, precision, and care to move and load precast materials.
What you will do:
- Safety operate equipment (overhead cranes, gantry cranes, shunt trucks, forklifts)
- Load, unload, and position materials with accuracy and care
- Assist with rigging and crane signaling
- Support general yard and loading operations
- Keep the yard organized, clean, and efficient
- Complete pre- and post-shift equipment inspections

- Action oriented - takes ownership, addresses issues, and follows through to completion
- Sharp and dialed in – pays attention to every load, every move, every detail
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 license, with acceptable driver’s abstract
- Ability to work 44 hours per week, including overtime as required
- Available Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays
- Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods
- Basic understanding of construction, equipment operating, overhead crane operating, and rigging
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work at heights, up to 16 feet
- Ability to follow direction and communicate effectively with the team
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment prior to hire
- Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta
