Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform scripted and unscripted tests on Echodyne Radar systems and subsystems in collaboration with development engineering to pursue root-cause identification of failures
- → Localize failures to the subsystem level to be addressed by rework before re-entry to the production flow
- →Compile test and measurement data, distilling into key performance metrics to aid in the identification of systemic issues
- →Develop and document debug methodologies in support of resolving emergent failure modes
- →Work with the electrical engineering, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure the completeness of root-cause analysis and the soundness of corrective and preventative actions
- →Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business
- Hands-on experience working with micro-electronics printed circuit assemblies in a lab environment
- Familiarity with in ESD (electro-static-discharge) equipment and procedures
- Experience using digital and analog test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters
- Familiar with the use of RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and signal generators
- Good interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups
- Python experience for interfacing with test equipment a plus
- Experience assessing standard RF test metrics such as return-loss, gain, noise-figure, compression point and bandwidth
- Understanding of analog/mixed signal circuits related to power development and distribution, I2C and SPI bus protocols, and clock synthesis and distribution
- Ability to read a schematic to identify test-points, components, and circuits
Requirements
~1 min read- 5 or more years of relevant experience performing hands-on electronics measurement
- Eligibility to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR)
