Oversee the daily operations of the library, including circulation, inventory management, and user services. Provide reference and research assistance to students, faculty, and staff using both physical and digital resources. Implement and maintain library management systems (e.g., Koha, LibSys, or similar) to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient workflows. Develop and conduct information literacy sessions to educate users on effective research methodologies and resource utilization. Collaborate with academic departments to support curriculum development and ensure alignment of library resources with course requirements. Plan and organize library events, reading programs, and exhibitions to promote reading culture and student engagement. Monitor and update library policies, procedures, and safety standards in compliance with institutional and national guidelines. Stay current with trends in library science, digital learning tools, and educational technology to continuously improve services. Ensure accessibility and inclusivity of library resources for diverse user groups, including those with special needs. --- Requirements Requirements: Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib) or Master of Library Science (M.Lib) from a recognized university. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a library or educational institution setting. Proficiency in library management software and digital cataloging systems. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced academic environment. Familiarity with copyright laws, intellectual property, and academic integrity standards. Knowledge of digital libraries, e-journals, databases, and online research platforms.
