Role: Counsellor for Boys and Girls Hostel Experience: Min 5 years Location:Thengana, Kerala Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to support the holistic development and well-being of students in our Boys and Girls Hostel. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing residential environment. With a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, this professional will provide emotional, social, and academic guidance to students, ensuring their personal growth and successful integration into the campus community. The counsellor will serve as a trusted mentor, addressing challenges, promoting mental wellness, and contributing to a positive hostel culture. Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counselling to students to support emotional and psychological well-being Monitor student behavior and academic performance, identifying early signs of distress or underperformance Organize and facilitate workshops on life skills, stress management, and healthy relationships Collaborate with faculty, parents, and administrative staff to support student development Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with privacy and ethical standards Develop and implement initiatives to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive hostel environment Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders as needed Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in student counselling, preferably in a residential or educational setting Strong understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Proficiency in maintaining confidential records and ethical documentation Valid certification in counselling or mental health support is preferred How to apply-prathap@educohire.com Benefits Salary range- 20k-25k pm + Food + Accommodation
