Supernovas is an EIT Community initiative aiming to increase female presence in the entrepreneurship and investment ecosystem, as well as support women already active in it. EIT Community - Women Entrepreneurship (Supernovas) is coordinated among EIT Food, EIT Digital and EIT Urban Mobility. 


The EIT Supernovas Promotion and Growth Lead is a position under EIT Community – Women Entrepreneurship (Supernovas) initiative managed by EIT Urban Mobility – Impact Ventures team, directly reporting to Impact Ventures interim Head of Startup Programmes and Services. The EIT Supernovas Promotion and Growth Lead is responsible for coordinating Supernovas community as well as all promotion and growth activities within EIT Supernovas initiative.  


Key responsibilities  


Community and engagement 

  • Lead and grow the EIT Supernovas Community by engaging women entrepreneurs, investors, ambassadors, and ecosystem stakeholders across Europe.  
  • Manage community activities and communication channels, fostering networking, collaboration, peer learning, and member participation online and offline.  
  • Coordinate onboarding and engagement journeys for community members, ensuring active participation in programmes, events, and opportunities.  
  • Develop and promote community content, success stories, and engagement campaigns to increase visibility, retention, and ecosystem impact.  
  • Monitor community performance and stakeholder engagement metrics, using insights to improve community experience, growth, and partnerships.  


Stakeholder growth and partnerships 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and investors. 
  • Support Supernovas’ network growth and ensure activities are attractive for partnerships. 
  • Align communications, campaigns, and events to maximize visibility, leads, and business opportunities. 


Promotion 

  • Implement and adapt HQ marketing plans for Supernovas initiatives. 
  • Ensure consistent brand identity and tone of voice across all channels. 
  • Plan and execute communication campaigns, including digital marketing, SEO, and media relations. 
  • Create and manage content: visuals, presentations, newsletters, social media, and storytelling. 
  • Monitor performance, optimize campaigns, and manage budgets and suppliers. 


Events management 

  • Plan, organize, and deliver events (networking, promotional, business, and flagship). 
  • Align events with branding, communications, and visibility goals. 
  • Manage logistics, suppliers, contracts, and budgets. 
  • Promote events via content campaigns and measure impact to improve future activities. 

 

External providers  

  • Coordinate the procurement, contracting, and management of external providers required for the implementation of Supernovas activities and initiatives specifically under promotion and growth activities.  
  • Oversee the execution and delivery of outsourced activities, ensuring alignment with programme objectives, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and reporting requirements. 

 

What you will bring along the way: 

 

An ideal candidate must-have: 

 

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership management, community building, or ecosystem development, ideally within innovation, entrepreneurship, or EU-funded environments. 
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders — start-ups, corporates, investors, academia, and public institutions — at European level. 
  • Solid experience designing and implementing engagement strategies and multi-partner collaboration frameworks that drive measurable results. 
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with a track record of delivering events, campaigns, or community programmes end-to-end. 
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities — both written and verbal — able to adapt messages to different audiences and channels. 
  • Strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial attitude: able to translate programme goals into concrete engagement activities and partnerships. 
  • Collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented approach with high emotional intelligence and ability to thrive in multicultural and cross-functional teams. 
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional EU languages will be an asset. 
  • A university degree in business, international relations, innovation management, communications, or a related field. 

 

Nice-to-have: 

 

  • Professional experience within the European innovation ecosystem, particularly in programmes related to gender equality, entrepreneurship, or investment. 
  • Existing network of stakeholders across the start-up and investment landscape (accelerators, investors, ecosystem builders, corporates, media). 
  • Knowledge of EIT structure, Horizon Europe, or other EU funding mechanisms, including EIT Supernovas 
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital community platforms, or engagement analytics tools. 
  • Experience moderating, facilitating, or representing organisations in high-level panels, events, or workshops. 
  • A passion for promoting gender balance and inclusion in entrepreneurship and innovation. 
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. 
  • Creative mindset and a keen eye for impactful storytelling and brand alignment.

Kindly note that this is a permanent and full-time position, and it is based in Barcelona. 


Possibility to work from home 2 days a week. 


No relocation expenses are granted.
 
Up to 10% of the full job position time will be required for traveling in Europe in order to fulfil the responsibilities under this position.
