About the Role

- Provide counsel on organizational strategy, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives
- Align HR strategy with business objectives and cascading goals across the India operations
- Support executive onboarding and development programs
- Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with Indian labor laws and regulations (Labor Code, Shops and Establishments Act, etc.)
- Maintain POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) compliance including policy implementation, awareness training, and complaint resolution
- Stay current on regulatory changes and implement necessary policy updates
- Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory audits and compliance inquiries
- Maintain required documentation and record-keeping in accordance with local requirements
- Compensation, Benefits & Planning:
- Conduct regular compensation benchmarking against market data and industry standards
- Develop and maintain competitive compensation philosophy and pay banding frameworks
- Lead annual compensation review cycles and provide recommendations on salary adjustments
- Design and administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Analyze total rewards and prepare cost projections for budgeting
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors and insurance partners
- Talent Acquisition & Recruitment:
- Oversee regional recruitment strategy and operations
- Partner with Global HR leader on Recruiting initiatives
- Build and manage recruitment pipeline in collaboration with hiring managers
- Manage employer branding and talent attraction initiatives
- Review and approve recruitment metrics, hiring plans, and workforce forecasts
- Ensure consistent hiring practices and interview processes across all levels
- Supervise recruitment team member and provide performance feedback and coaching
- Employee Relations & Escalations:
- Handle escalated employee relations issues and workplace disputes
- Lead investigations into formal complaints and grievances
- Develop and implement corrective action and performance management plans
- Provide guidance on terminations and separations in compliance with local law
- Foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement
- Support global HR initiatives that drive employee engagement, recognition, and retention.
- Support employee communication initiatives and change management
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing HR team members
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
- Conduct regular performance reviews and manage accountability
- Foster knowledge sharing and collaboration within the HR function
- Execute strategic assignments and projects as assigned by the Global HR Director
- Contribute to global HR initiatives and policy development
- Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems
- Lead HR-related transformation and modernization efforts
Requirements
~1 min read- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR management or director-level role
- Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proven experience with POSH implementation and employee relations in the Indian context
- Experience with compensation and benefits strategy, benchmarking, and planning
- Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, recruitment strategy, and team leadership
- Experience managing and developing HR teams
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and HR analytics
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
