Ready to lead, disrupt and reinvent the sleep industry?

We are Emma – The Sleep Company. Founded in 2015, we have grown into the world’s largest direct-to-consumer (D2C) sleep brand, with a presence in over 20 markets and more than 35 Emma stores across Europe.

Our mission is simple: to develop sleep comfort products that empower our customers to awaken their best every day. Today, our products are trusted by millions and recommended by leading consumer associations worldwide.

It’s our people who bring this mission to life. At Emma, you’ll join a driven, international team that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous knowledge sharing. With colleagues from over 70 nationalities, we combine diverse perspectives with a shared ambition to learn, grow, and create lasting impact, together.

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support our store at Manchester Arndale, working closely with the Store Manager to be the main driver of sales, motivate our Sleep Experts, deliver an exceptional customer experience, maintain strong operational and visual merchandising standards, and confidently take ownership of the store when required.

• Assist in motivating and managing the Sleep Experts (sales staff) to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Advise customers on products to help them achieve the ultimate night's sleep, enhancing the customer experience.
• Oversee administrative tasks, stock management, and shift coordination, ensuring the sales floor is always optimized for conversion.
• Execute all visual merchandising guidelines to the highest standards, maintaining consistent in-store presentation.
• Take ownership of the store when required, confidently managing operations in the absence of the Store Manager with a strong business mindset.

 • Solid experience as an Assistant Store Manager or Senior Sales Associate in a retail environment.
 • Strong sales skills with a proactive, customer-oriented approach.
 • Ability to interpret daily performance data and KPIs, translating it into actionable steps that drive results.
 • Capable of providing coaching and training to the team.
 • Fluency in English.
  • 25 days of annual leave, increasing to a maximum of 30 days with each additional year of service.
  • Variable compensation paid in addition to your salary, based on your business performance.
  • Access to Nilo, a mental health platform with paid sessions with a psychologist or coach.
  • An employee discount on selected Emma products.
  • In-store onboarding by the Store Manager, and regular trainings and documentation to learn our products.
