Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support our Accounting team in Coxsackie, NY

·       Performs all AP for Trade and Non-trade functions including but not limited to sorting, scanning, coding of invoices, securing approvals and processing payments.

·       Maintains trade vendor EFT schedules.

·       Identify and prioritize invoices per cash discount potential and payment terms.

·       Process 3-way match for trade vendor invoices.

·       Process check requests.

·       Match invoices to checks, distribute checks accordingly.

·       Setup trade and non-trade vendors, securing and verifying W9.

·       1099 Maintenance

·       Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies and follow up on outstanding invoices from vendors.

·       Using scanning software, maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices 

·       Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with federal and state regulations

·       Assist and/or work with company auditors as required.

·       Assist with other projects as needed.

·       Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

• Hourly Rate $19 - 21 per hour / Full time / Monday - Friday / Hybrid work schedule after training
